1-Year Top-up, BSc in Business Administration


Overview:

The pedagogical distinction of the Business Administration program at Duy Tan University is the emphasis on combining both theoretical and practical elements to create highly employable graduates. In particular, the following elements are significantly stressed upon:
Problem solving, 
Critical thinking, 
Analysis, 
Negotiation, 
Presentation skills, business writing skills, and 
Business maturity.

Through different coursework, these elements are woven into the program so that besides a strong knowledge base, students are given the practical skills necessary for their advancement in organizational settings. For example, very few undergraduate business programs offer courses devoted to financial modeling and decision models, as DTU does.In addition, the teaching and learning methodologiesin this program are very much structured and innovative, including facilitated discussions, case-study analysis, business simulations, real-world practicums, etc.And the instruction delivery will be handled not only by the regular staff of Duy Tan University but also by faculty members coming from Pennsylvania State University or Appalachian State University, which is definitely a plus of this program.

1-Year Top-up, BSc in Information Technology


Overview:

This program aims to produce future workers of international standards for the IT (Information Technology) industry by focusing on 4 major sets of skills:
Foundational Technical Skills
IT Management Skills
IT Specialty Skills
Professional Skills

Students’ development of these skills will be powered by the much valued course materials licensed to Duy Tan University by Carnegie Mellon University - one of the Top 3 universities for Computer Science in the U.S. Indeed, students in the program will receive course-completion certificates of Carnegie Mellon for their study at Duy Tan. On top of that, the final-semester Capstone practicum at one of the IT businesses in Da Nang will provide students with on-the-job experience and prepare them well for the real-world IT labor market, let it be as developers or testers or project managers. Recent placement statistics showed that 100% of students graduated from this program of DTU got their job offers within 6 months of their graduation.

Overview:

“The Master of Business Administration program of DTUwas developed to prepare and train the next generation of business managers and leaders in Vietnam and around the world.”:This visionso far has been carried out by the combining ofdifferent business skillset with strategic thinking and globalization knowledge in our training. MBA students at Duy Tan University will study not only about business theories but also aboutadministrative procedures and technical tools to apply those theories into reality. In addition, they are taught to deal with changeand how to quickly adapt to new conditions in our fast-changing world. Mentioning of “change”, globalization awareness and cultural appreciation are also very important related topics, which have been integrated into our lessons for strategy development and assessment.

1.5-Year MBA with Hospitality & Tourism Specialty


Overview:

For the fact that Da Nang is best known as a tourist hub and is home to the most number of luxury hotels and resorts in Vietnam, Duy Tan University, as an educational institute, definitely has certain contribution. Indeed, over the last 10 years or more, DTU has always been the main human resource provider for the hospitality and tourism industry of Da Nang, ranging from vocational diploma level to associate’s degree level to bachelor’s degree level.To add more to that legacy, recent opening of the MBA program with concentration on Hospitality & Tourism has leveled DTU to a position of no equal in hospitality and tourism training in Central Vietnam.

The idea of an MBA degreewith Hospitality & Tourism specialty instead of a Master degree in Hospitality & Tourismactually has its own advantage in that its graduates are open to all kind of career opportunities in the business world, not restricted to only hospitality and tourism job opportunities. That said, MBA students with Hospitality & Tourism specialty at Duy Tan University are, however, no amateurs when it comes to hospitality andtourism management and practices. They are trained in various aspects of restaurant management, hotel management, and event management both at DTU’s hospitality practicing facilities and at local hotels and resorts. 1.5-Year MSIT


Overview:

The Master of Information Technology of DTU is designed for students who seek both technical and management career opportunities in the IT industry. Specifically, the program puts a great emphasis on technical topics like analysis & design, network security, system architecture, etc.; but at the same time, it also provides students withthe much needed skills in project management, IT financial analysis, andIT product life cycle. The ultimate goal is to help students realize and tap into their innovative potential.

With small class sizes, modern learning environment, and faculty members with lots of industry experience, the MSIT program of Duy Tan University is best known as the place which produces the most IT managers/directors for the Central of Vietnam. Indeed, MSIT students, in their final semester, will have the opportunity to work on some real-world projects at one of the many IT companies which have signed employment support agreements with Duy Tan University.
